Herfah

Almost 2 weeks ago Dr. Wafa invited, Ms.Hind one of the managers in Herfah. I’m guessing many of you are thinking “What is Herfah?”

Well, it’s an organization located in AlQassim that teaches small business to grow up. And learn about the business environment. It’s taking someone with small talent and lead them to the light or to the right path to become a great talent.

And Ms.Hind showed us a lot of examples, such as those cute old ladies who were making a qassime desert named klijah

and others who makes beautiful needlework. Even some of those ladies who are making needlework, has cooperated with a Saudi designer, and they named that business, ”Herfah by Naimah”. Basically, it’s about designing a traditional Saudi clothes but in more creative way.

Although, I didn’t like that they used non-Saudi men models to wear these clothes, it didn’t look good them. I think it’s because they’re not used to wear it.

Anyway, it really made me happy to see such organizations taking care of small business. And I hope to see more of it in the future.
Best wishes ❤️

Why Entrepreneurs Are Entrepreneurs?

Hello everyone, hope your day is going great.

So today I woke up with one question that was dancing around my head the whole time, “Why Entrepreneurs Are Entrepreneurs?”

So I went searching and I saw this video that was talking about how WhatsApp was found. Mostly, focused of the founders of the App.

And now I can tell you guys that I’ve finally had the honor to meet the answer of that question. *Hooray*

It was in this video, they started from the zero point, worked very hard, they were ambitions and they wanted to show the world that they actually did something.

I mean who doesn’t have WhatsApp on their phones?

They took the risk by leaving their jobs to work on their won ideas!

What took me by surprise and made me laugh at the same time is they were rejected to work in a company who years later bought their Apps with 19 billion dollars!

This story reminded me of a quote I’ve read “I Create. I Take risk. I Live My Passion. I Am An Entrepreneur.”

Return back what the world has gave you.

I’ve been looking up for the definitions of social entrepreneurship. and I found a good one by J.Gregory Dess which says “.. It combines passion of a social mission with an image of business like discipline, innovation…”.

But if I could give it my own definition it certainly would be “Return back what the world has gave you.”

You see, the world gave too many things, challenges, experiences… which created your knowledge which leaded to your passion about a certain thing. So why not us those thing to give the world something good.

Social Entrepreneurship has many benefits, I’ll mention some.

Implementing societal change could be the greatest benefit of social entrepreneurship. because it will have a positive impact on the society. Another benefit is the create inspiring solutions where you can have the freedom to explore and create innovation solution that can inspire change.

while I was searching for some social entrepreneurship business so I can share it with you. And I found an amazing one that’s in Japan.

It’s the “Mainichi Newspaper”, this newspaper has created an eco-friendly papers that contains seeds, so if you put water on it, it’ll grow plant.

It’s a great innovation! they cut the trees to get paper, so why not use the same paper to grow plants.

I hope one day we all can return back what the world has gave us.
